well.. i have an AEM cai.. and it works wonders. especially at night when the air is cool... i can feel my d16y8 pick up and pull a lot harder than during day time when is nice and warm. as for hp wise i wouldn't know for sure. but i do know that a short ram would sound louder and deeper tone... cuz it's sucking in more warm air from the engine bay, where as the CAI would just make a hissing sound and suck in colder air behind the fog light dam and from below the engine bay...
