I used 500 degree ceramic engine paint on my header cover and it has been on for a year and a half and looks like when I first sprayed it. If you sand the peice really good, leave a surface that the paint can bite into it will work. Make sure you go over the whole peice with some paint prep spray to clean off all the oil and it should be fine.
