i have the 2 1/2 inch piping n1 on my EX, planning turbo eventually, but as it is right now, that exhaust with stock header and cat added 5+ mph and dropped .5 sec on my QM time. i'm guessing its the combo. i think if i had the header and a free flow cat, it would lose performance due to the lack of back pressure.
