I have been installing a leather kit in my 00 accord. I got a kit on ebay for $250. If you are looking at replacing the upholstery, rather than replacing the seats, it is hard work. First I tried using a wimpy hog-ring plier that I got from JCWhitney catalog -- didn't work well. Then I got the Bostitch P7 stapler which works pretty well. Still, with some of the staples you make three or four attempts until you actually get it fastened. I busted one of the zippers on the seat-back and am waiting for that to be re-sewn. Otherwise I finished the back and passenger seats. I can't get the bolts out of the drivers' seat I think the dealer put lock-tite on them when they pulled the seat out for something else a couple years ago. I've tried liquid wrench and that doesn't help. Parts store told me I needed air tools so I'll take it to a garage for that. I haven't started on the door panels yet. I am going to try heating the plastic rivets to remove them, instead of cutting them off. Anyway I think I have about 10 hours of hard work into installing these, so far.
With the '00 models, the coupe has a 60/40 split rear seat. I believe the sedan has a center fold-down section. Also I believe the headrests changed in 01 from a solid headrest to one that has a hole in the center.
