That's a pretty good deal for an all original B17A, I used to have a B17A shortblock kicking around my place. It had high milage and smoked like mad, but I still sold it to a guy who knew this for $450.
If you plan to keep the engine, you may want to consider getting some kind of crank girdle for it. B17A's are the largest displacment B-series DOHC VTEC engine without a girdle, and seem to have a nasty habit of spinning rod bearings when they get older. This flaw was recognized and corrected for the following B18C group.
Z10 makes an excellent 3 main girdle for this reason.
