Engine also receives a minor port and polish job from factory, as well as different valve angles/seats. Type-S also has a different intake and exhaust manifold vs US 5th gens. Personally, I would much rather get the JDM Euro ATR H22a over the Type-S H22a, simply because the Euro comes with the sweetest tranny ever made for H22's (T2W4 > also has LSD instead of ATTS > a huge bonus!) So get same engine, just different tranny. They cost the same (I know I bought the Euro H22a instead of the Type-S and they were both $4K > now I am getting the rest of the conversion done
