He is # 2 under Tiger Woods.. that is surprising...

The recognition I think he was talking about is to get more names talked about in the general Public.. if you mention the driver "Schumacher" to any old Joe(I can say that =) on the street.. and they might think of the Drag Racer.. and not Michael. With the Sheer number of wins that Michael has under his belt, he is most likely the best automobile driver Ever. It is hard to see that now.. because we are taking his wins for granted. He also plays a huge part in his team.. to make everything work better.

Also on the recognition thing.. I remember 2-3 years ago, there was the ESPN ESPY awards.. and Driver of the year was the category.. well, they had like 3 Nascar drivers and Michael.. well, guess who won? Jeff Gordon.. Whoooo-Weeee!

But it goes without saying that the US doesn't care for "Road Courses" because they do not promote "door to door" racing.. (and most likely the crashes aren't as good) hahahaha. The thing that really bugs me about Nascar (whatever series) is that they are V8's with 1960's technology when it comes to engine management(easier to manage) but what does that do to help promote new technologies? Nuttin.. Atleast I get to see technology like VTEC and iVTEC that came from F1.

I would suffer a terrible life if I didn't have SPEEDTV!!

<stepping off soapbox now>

On a side note.. I cannot wait for GT4 to come out for the PS2. =) :P
