Yeah you're probably right. I'm 5'10" but I only have a 30" inseam (long torso, short legs) so my legs fit fine but my head is almost brushing on the inside of the top. Your legs are most likely too long.
Interesting note... a good friend of mine came by last night to help me work on the truck (he drives a 2002 Miata). After working on the truck (flushed the brake lines), we got talking about cars and I mentioned looking for a new vehicle. To make a long story short, he showed me that if I put the seat forward one notch and then tilt it back a bit more, I have room to fit. He also offered to let me borrow it for a couple of days next week (he needs to borrow the truck). So I may take him up on it and see if the Miata would really work.
