To be getting 18mpg out of a 238hp N/A Rotary is amazing. I see a lot of 146-160hp N/A FC's doing the same (luckily I get about 22/26)
As has been covered in the few dozen other RX-8 vs. S2k threads, they are different cars. The RX-8 is not a sports car, even though it can be passed off as one. Decided how many seats, doors, and type of roof you want. That alone will pick a car for you. Six speed RX-8's do drive sweet though, as does the Mazdaspeed Miata.
