If it's any profiling, it'd be criminal profiling and Police Departments do that all the time, mainly to find rapists and murderers and stuff like that; and when they do that you don't seem to mind.

The thing is, when we're trying to crack down on street racing what do you think we're going to pull over first? The 60 year old man in his 1968 Camaro SS or the 16 year old kid in his 1999 Acura Integra slammed on 17's with a big loud (but barely legal) exhaust tip?

I mean, be realistic. The law is blind, but Police Officers aren't. It's not against the law for us to use common sense and logic while doing our job.
