CC auto courses > UTI

imo.

I was seriously considering UTI until I met a few people who went there. They said its only worth it if you pay attention in class and put yourself into the work. They said a lot of the students there dont know how to change oil or even turn a wrench. My boss told me just about every manager in the automotive industry wont consider hiring UTI graduates becuase they have a bad reputation. He said UTI is pretty much swindling you for your money and offering half ass courses. No Toyota or Honda training from what I know either. But Im not bashing the school, I think its good if you dedicate yourself but I think its hyped up more than what it really is.

Im currently working at a tire shop and will be going back to my local C.C. to finish my studies in automotive science. They just opened up a new building strictly for automotive technology. New floors to get dirty yo! From there I plan on earning ASE certs and hopefully landing a better paying job. Hopefully I can go to a honda/acura dealership and have them send me to their own training school.
