I was working on my 96 GSR today just installing a cold air intake and in order to do that, I unhooked the battery. When I was done, I reconnected the battery and all of a sudden the alarm went off. I didn't even know I had an alarm until now. The car also wouldn't start, so I called the local Acura dealership and my mechanic for the way to disable it and be able to start the car. They said just use the key to lock and unlock the driver's side door. That didn't work. They also mentioned something of a switch under the steering column. I didn't see anything. Can somebody who experienced this problem help me? It is the stock alarm which I don't have a remote for. If I can't get it disabled I will need to get it towed over to the dealership for them to disable it.
