ok an Alpine SWR-1241D is a 4OHM DVC sub and has a power range of 100-300 watts RMS.
the MRD-M1001 is 500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms OR 1000 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms. running 2OHMs isnt really too low of an impedance, IMO.
so back to the sub, you wire each sub in SERIES and the 3 subs together in PARALLEL, you will net 2.67 Ohms. mated to that amp, you will get a little less than 1000 watts going to the 3 subs. 1000/3 is 333.3 watts per sub.
and the hassle with using 3 separate amps, besides the wiring...will be the settings. good luck setting each sub EXACTLY the same as the next. you can say that its as easy as turning the knob to the same point, but i would trust that as much as i would trust running an indepedant channel to each voicecoil on a DVC sub.
