yes. By buying the dog you're supporting the pet shop and basically telling them you think its ok to house animals in unsafe/hazardous conditions. By giving them your money, they'll have the ability to bring in 2 more dogs and allow them into the same bad conditions, just waiting for some poor sap to have the philosophy that you've got. It's much better to buy from either a shelter or from private breeders.
