Yup. Cat's out of the bag. Check out the 92-96 Hyundai Excels, Sonatas, and Elantras in the junkyards. Stay away from the 1.8L (4g54?) engines unless all you need is a valve cover or engine accessories... but they all have 4g6x series engines in them. 4g15, 4g61, 4g63, 4g64... All 4g series engines have the same mounts if you compare the same year engines with the same year chassis. You can ebay a used NA 4g63 "buy it now" for less than $450. Pull it off a junkyard for under $300. There are tons of these motors out there. 92-96 Galants use SOHC 4g63's and 4g64's. The blocks are identical, and you can pull the head off a Hyundai 1.6L and there's your complete 4g63 DOHC. Add 4 oil squirters to the block and boost it. There's your turbo 4g63. NA 1.6L and 2.0L DOHC heads are the same as a turbo head, too.

I just sold a '91 4g15 Mirage hatchback that runs (blown tranny, tho) with 4 brand new tires, to the guy that gave me both of my D15B7's for $60. It's on the short-bus page. Has every bit of interior room that a civic does. Even more in the back seat. If I bought one of these before I bought my civic, I wouldn't be typing here right now. There's a video of a 4g63 swapped Hyundai on my oddities page. This link may not work, but it's here: http://homepage.mac.com/jafro/.cv/ja...wmv-binhex.hqx
