If you paint it, you will probably have to paint the whole piece. For instance if u have a scratch on your bumper, mask the sides off and repaint the WHOLE bumper. Bring your gas cap in to get the paint matched or else it will be off. I just got finished with this ordeal of repainting deep scratches yesterday. Today i still have to color sand to take off the texture and buff it all out...the fun never ends

but its no to bad ur better off trying a way that wont hurt the rest of your paint if you paint the bumper you'll be able to tell its not th esame as the rest of the car cuz even if your paint is a year old it still fades..iv touched up spots before not in the middle of a 1/4 panle or anything but its its discreet its not so bad
