I think so too, except, the "clamp" is not in that groove on the axle. Which, I believe will allow it to leak if I do not get it back to that groove. Any thoughts on how to coerce it back up the axle into the groove?
I really wish this wouldn't have happened, for a spring/shock install, this has been the biggest pita ever. I swear, I've had the worst luck :P.

nope.. biggest pain is when you actually seperate the CV joint.. then you have to pull the boot off and repack the bearings like i mentioned before.
