There are three sedans planned at DCX for dodge. Intrepid replacement (JX rear wheel drive), Stratus replacment (same class), Neon replacement (same class). They may choose to race the Stratus instead of the Intrepid; however, both the Stratus and Neon are going to be designed by both Daimler Chrysler and Mitsubishi, but will be different cars in different classes. The Stratus will get the 2.4 DOHC designed by Daimler Chrysler, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai (It's not just a Hyundai's design). And most likely a newer version of the 2.7, possibly bumped to 3.0. Who knows. Chrysler seems to be improving a lot, especially in safety. They need to get these cars right if they want to turn over a profit.
I agree. Chrysler seems to be on top of their domestic rivals, and now seems to have surprassed GM's mechanical quality (as well as Fords). They need a product to grab a hold of the public and to make them realize that import may not be the only way to go.
But...as for me...the Intrepid could do 200mph and I'll still be buying Honda.
