Thanks for the caution on tire choice for nOOb track days. I have close to 20 autox's and 4 autox "practice days" so I was figuring on just using R-compounds like in autox. In D-stock last year I ran RA-1's (F)225 & (R)205 but this year I have been running on (F)225 victoracers & on the rear I have the 225 RA-1's from last year) all on stock size rims. I do get slight evidence of rubbing, but never any grinding noises (note: use 5 mm spacers on front).

For going to the track, I was going to get a set of RA-1's to put on 15x7's (43 offset) but wasn't sure about all 205, all 225 or (F)225 & (R)205. But now I think I will just try the 205 azenis's I have on my 15x7 street setup for the first event. Later on when I go with R-s, what sizes do you recommend?

One other thing, the stock size rims are 15x6JJ 50 offset, it is stamped right on the 01 gunmetal's.
