You'll have to use either Microsoft recovery console, or a DOS boot disk (depending on operating system) to put the files from the disk, back into the directory specified on your machine (systemroot/system32/config/...)

May or may not work, but worth a try.

Tried that....didn't work. Bleh. I am going to take the PC with me and try anything else that comes to mind later today since I have appointments in our other offices. My main concern is to recover his files, but if I can't.....he's still ok.
