Hi all,

I ran into this problem this morning. Safe mode and last known good configuration failed.

STOP: 0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\Systemroot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE
or its log or alternate
is corrupt, absent, or not writable

I am going to run a check disk right now...hope this will work. Dell asked me to do an HD check as well. This damn workstation gave me so many problems with file corruption lately. I think I am going to tell them to give me a new HD after this.
