DOT numbers are what are on cars. anything that can be put on a car, that is recognised by the DOT puts a # on it. its like having a chasity code on your car for insurance. all it does is identify the product with the dept of transpertation. it can be for on/off road whatever.(please correct me if i'm wrong blake)
