Had a pinhole leak once, never lost any fluid until car was hot. When fluid got low it did the same thing your describing
I had the same problem. I just put some of that cheap stop leak stuff in it, topped it off again, and haven't had problems for months. I will be replacing the radiator in the near future though. Stop-Leak is only a short term fix.
