since jbl is known for putting out about the same amount of power in 1 and 2 ohms, i would still suggect getting two 4 ohm svcs wiring down to 2 ohms, which is was the jbl amp is noted as stable at. this will ensure any over heating and amy shutdown problems and give u still a powerful output.
