First unplug the battery...bad things could happen if you don't!

Next, unplug the cables to your alternator shown in the picture.


Next, loosen the bolt circled in the picture. You should start to see/feel the belt losing tension. After it's completely loosened I went ahead and took the other bolt off and pulled that whole "tensioner part".


After you've relieved all tension, slip the belt off and find a way to losen the bolts holding the alternator in place. One is on the bottom side (no pic) and one is on the top side. They look about the same.


You'll have to fight with it to get it out of there, but don't give up! After you get it out, the installation is just reversed of taking it out.

It's been about a year since I did mine, so I'm going off of what I remember. If I said somehing slightly wrong and you figure it out for yourself, plase don't get pissed!
