Default Just installed my DC Sport 4-2-1 Header today...

1998 Accord LX 4 Cylinder/Auto/Sedan (F23A1)

Mods:
Injen CAI, GReddy EVO catback, and finally, DC Sport 4-2-1 Ceramic Header

Installation:
Easy as hell if you have some powertools. I had mine done done at the dealership since I work there. The old cast-iron header was heavy as hell compared to the lightweight DC Sport. The installation of the DC Sport Header was very easy (since we used the lift) and it was direct-fit all around. The wiring was kinda :ghey: because I bought my header used, thus I had to splice the wires and make an extension up to 3ft. After we bolted everything back up and installed the wiring, it was time for a test drive.

Test Drive:
From the start of the engine, you could feel it instantly. The idle was VERY smooth and the exhaust gave a more aggressive idle sound. One of the mechanics said, "it feels hollow!" And it does. I can't explain in words how it feels hollow, but when you're in the driver's seat and you let the car idle, you'll know what I mean. The intake sounded great also. The typical "sshhhhhhh" noise at idle sounded a little louder. I gave the car a couple of revs and the intake went from a conventional "shhhHHHHHHH!" to a "SHHHHOOOOOOOOOO." When I rolled it out of the garage and the difference in the sound of the EVO was instantly noticeable. The exhaust sounded deeper and when the engine fan came on, it no longer made that sudden "brrrrrrrrr" noise anymore, just a smooth flow.

Now for test drive...

Wow....that's all I could say. WOW. You can definitely feel the difference. I literally "feel" the air going under the car since the car has little or no air restriction. The exhaust definitely has a more deeper bass than before and the intake...wow...I swear when I drove by a couple of cars on my right side (where the CAI is located), I swear that it sounded like I had a turbo (I had my CAI for over 2 years and it NEVER sounded as good as today.) The car no longer hesitates when you floor it, instead the hesitation was now replaced with a smoooooooth transition from regular cruising to WOT. The car revs faster also. I could feel most of the new power in the midrange RPMs until my exhaust noise gets cut off by my intake at higher RPMs.

Verdict:
Very good buy, I finally finished my bolt-ons and I love it. Now for the Konis...

PS: My friend has a 6Gen Accord 4 cylinder/auto and he had his car dynoed with the following parts...

AEM CAI, DC Sport 4-2-1 Ceramic header, GReddy EVO catback

Stock Dyno Numbers were:

128.9 WHP / 134.1 ft-lbs/tq

After the modifications:

Total PEAK Gain:

20.1 HP
16.3 ft-lbs

*Note: I do not have the dyno chart of this, but I assure you that these numbers are true. We had the DYNO done at Autothority in Fairfax, VA at 76 degrees.
