Nissan looks ridiculous raising horsepower ratings over and over again. Like it was stated above, they are killing their resale values and pushing their vehicles into uncharted territory. If they put the Altima at 255hp in the middle of a generation, then they are threatening their other vehicles at that range.

I was really impressed with Nissan right after they introduced the new Altima, 350Z and so on. They were created interest in their product by making them better. Adding horsepower every year is nothing but a gimmick. I'll laugh if something happens to their precious VQ engine. Imagine the backlash considering almost every vehicle they produce uses it.
