DAMN YOU INTERNET! I just typed a huge ass post and it didn't post it!
I also recommend the 865PE chipset. I have ASUS's P4P800 Deluxe and I'm very happy with it. The only other big difference with the 875 is ECC memory but I've never had a problem without it.
I'm using Corsair XMS Low Latency sticks, 2 512M Twin X pack. They come with a set of heat spreaders. I think I paid a little over $250 for them. No complaints about it. They had some pretty aggressive CAS timing but I don't really understand all of that anyway. System runs fast and stable at stock clock speeds (when the damn internet doesn't crash!).
I might consider skipping the AIW card. I have a 9800 Pro and an ATI TV Wonder Pro (the TV side of an AIW without the graphics accellerator). I'm very disappointed with the TV wonder card. It was completely unstable till I got a hotfix from Microsoft to make it play nice with hyperthreading. Now it's still crashes about 25% of the time. I have an Audigy 2 ZS card and ATI's media center software cant mute the output for some reason (I have the newest Creative drivers and the newest version of media center, installed in that order) and when the program crashes after recording something, it will continue to play the TV instead of shutting down. I have to remember to mute my speakers before I leave or it sounds like there's a TV in here all th time. When it crashes like that, it also won't allow the screen saver/monitor powerdown to happen (I have a CRT so it doesn't really matter but it's annoying). I'm probably going to format and reinstall everything in a week or so and see if I can get it stable again but if not, I'm probably going to yank it out. I bought the cards seperate so if I ever upgrade my graphics card, I don't loose the TV tuning capability. I just wasn't happy with that TV tuner card and wouldn't recommend it.
