Well its best to solder the wires because you get a better connection but I didn't when I changed mine. I just spliced the wires and put the two together with a splice connector (picture below). Wrapped it will shrink wrap tape to make sure no moisture gets in and what not and it was set. Its not too hard to do. Just make sure you rememebr which wire goes where. Good luck! :thumbup:
