if the amp puts off a lot o fheat, under the seat is a bad palce to place the amp, due to the fact that very little air circulation really gets down there. One thought is to mount it in the spare tire well, you won't have a spare, but that's what AAA is for. You'll want to mount it on a piece of wood however, as I imagine the positive wire coming contact with metal being a bad day for you.

Another thought is to mount it on the side of the cargo area.
