Default A bubbling gauge

My tachometer was growing a wart and yesterday it grew so badly that needle would catch on the end and not let it move. I don't know if this happened to any else and I was wondering if it did? Yeah I know that some of you are thinking this would have been a good idea to put in white face or indigo gauges, but, I thought about it and thought...nah, i like stock Anyway, took me three hours to do this last night (I also partially cleaned a couple of HVAC ducts, Meiguiared all removed panels, and adjusted a few HVAC cables) and lord have mercy if I have to ever tear into the dash again for a third time (the first time was to replace the damn gas gauge). Here's a couple photos.

1) The culprit

2) The plan (to tear all of this out).

3) In Progress

4) Hmm...looks like a car that was left in the middle of Harlem, NY with a "steal me sign"

5) The dissection begins

6) And finally the two transplanted organs...side by side.

yes i know it occurred because of heat...but did this happen to any of you also (The bubble effect)?
