how was your oil level when that happened? I had VTEC faliure when my oil was low20-30,000 miles ago, the car bogged right around 4000RPM when VTEC usually kicks in. A cel came on, I pulled the #13 fuse to reset it, got an oil change and the car is fine. I usually have to add 2-3quarts of oil between oil changes. if you oil was low you could of had VTEC failure.
