In order to be certified at radar, you have to be able to estimate vehicle speeds with your eyes within 0-5 mph consistantly. Once you have that certification, you don't even need radar to write the ticket. You admitted that you were going over the speed limit, and you got off.....be happy about it and go on your way. I know that cops don't need radar to write a ticket, but the point is, he pulled me over just to be annoying because he
knew that I wasn't going 51mph, and then lied about it and saying his radar clocked me at 51. And he didn't "let me off", I don't think he intended to write me a ticket to begin with, plus, sure I was going 40 in a 35, but I've talked to CPD officers, and they've all said that they give 7mph leeway...so yeah, he was just being a dick. But of course another cop is gonna take the cops side.
