Ive got 17's on my 5th gen 4 cyl, I didnt notice any acceleration difference when I put them on. If you're really worried about acceleration, get 17's with like a 225/45-17 tire. Either way you go, finding the lightest wheel possible will help... if you get heavy 17's you'll still be hurting your acceleration.
