the purpose of that light is a reminder for you to take it to acura to get an oil change. that light comes on every ~7500 miles. you can reset it manually.

to reset it:
-turn key to ON position
-on the bottom right of the steering wheel, about where your right knee will be, there is a square button. press and hold it.
-turn on the engine
-the light will remain solid then, disapprear for another 7500 miles
-release button.
