We've lost some good kings to smoking. Edward VII. George V. George VI. All three King-Emperors died of smoking related cancers.
One of the rules the grey suits try to enforce these days is that people in the direct line are not allowed to smoke cigarettes (the Queen, PoW and Pr William of Wales).
