it doesn't matter, man. You can make a perfectly drivable B18B/C civic just as easily... in fact, it will probably be even more streetable than the B16 because it has more usable torque... you wont have to rev it up as much to get to your powerband, so you'll do less unnecessary speeding... The B18 (especially B18C) is superior to the B16A in just about every aspect, be it for daily driver or racecar.

:edit: if you're worried about the size difference with the bigger motor, don't be. Externally, they're almost the exact same dimensions... The B18B/C has a few mm higher deck, but that doesn't make a difference at all. Now if you decided to go with an H-series motor (plus turbo) then you'd have to start really thinking about space constraints, but even that is easily do-able with a little work.
