changing both cylinders are really easy. I bought them both from my local shop (kragen), and installed it. I push the clutch and it droped all the way down to the ground. I saw a leak on my slave cylinder. But i changed the master cylinder just cause i don't want it to give me problems later. I suggest you do that. You don't need any special tools, just your wrenches and rachets (maybe some small hands).
