Few years back, friend of mine bought an 1980 560SEC in Nevada, bored the 5.6L V8 out to 6.1L, hi-comp pistons and 1.7:1 roller-rocker valvetrain, cam, revision to fueling, etc....then brought it into CA. It may drink like mad but it runs hard as hell. Sounds fantastic too.
