yeah, I've never used kybs before, so I wouldn't really know, but a lot of people can vouch for them here. I like the Illuminas too.... I used to autocross on them w/ stock springs. They were pretty good, but the Konis were a major step up. You're definitely right about the quality factor... even red's are probably perfectly reliable.
