Sometimes it's nice to get the coals that aren't pressed into briquettes. They actually look like charred pieces of wood. When I worked at summer camp we had this bigass 4 foot square grill that we would fill up with those suckers and cover in lighter fluid, then get it going until it was almost white hot. Then came the inevitable 10 to 15 minutes of waiting for it to cool down.
