Hello. I just picked up a '94 GSR. I noticed this type of problem as well, but for me, it would happen starting at around 20-25, and I would hear it in the front rather than the rear. Then, it would get higher pitched as I'd pick up speed. But then, it goes away on the freeway when my foot's on the gas and come back when I release the gas (to brake or exit). Does this sound like the wheel bearing as well? That was my first guess, but I wanted to ask others first.
BTW, this is my first post here and my first Honda/Acura. I avoided them before because they're mostly FWD--started out driving a '91 Corolla then got a '95 525i. Loved the Bimmer, but my aunt was selling the Teg. Bone stock, driven casually (until now!), 84K miles for 5K. She kept the inside real clean too. I never listened when my friends would talk about the car ... German car arrogance, I guess. But, I'm amazed at what it can do. It's torqueyer then I thought. I entered the freeway here in 2nd gear. I'm still trying to take that car up to redline, but I hit 70 in 2nd gear! The double wishbone's awesome. I'm taking her to her first auto-x this Saturday. Any tips? I'm thinking of not modding it out until I learn her limits with stock components ... but I'm getting really tempted.
