It's been my experience in the past two years that I've owned my Integra that most of the Integra crowd is much younger than I am. With that said, I have an 18-year old daughter that I'm making plans to send off to college in August. She lives with her mom and is currently driving an early 90's Ford Explorer. I don't feel good about sending her across country with that POS, so I'm looking around for something a little newer in the Honda/Acura family. She loves my car and would love to have one like it. I don't have the money to buy her one like mine, but with what she has saved, and what we could get for her Exploder ($1000-$1500), and what family members are willing to contribute we could probably buy her a car for around $5000-$6000.
Recently, while searching through online car classified ads I found a '95 Integra LS. It's an auto, so I wouldn't have it myself, but for her it would be fine. The biggest selling point for a car that is out of our price range is the fact that it has been listed as having 34,000 miles on it. I got a CARFAX report and the odometer section says the following:
Truth in Mileage Check:
OK - Not Actual Mileage Title
OK - Exceeds Mechanical Limits Title
Odometer Rollback Check:
OK - CARFAX found no odometer rollbacks for this 1995 ACURA INTEGRA LS (JH4DC445XSS015861). Rollbacks reported in this section originate from readings collected by a DMV or other verifiable source.
Mileage Consistency Check:
OK - CARFAX found no inconsistent odometer readings in the mileage history of this 1995 ACURA INTEGRA LS (JH4DC445XSS015861).
I guess my question is this... am I to believe that a 1995 Integra could really only have 34,000 miles on it?
Thanks,
JD
