My cousin IM'd me asking this question, and I'm not terribly familiar with 7th gens, or XM... so here it goes

Cousin: i'm trying to install xm on my 01 civic
ManInCamo: uh huh
Cousin: i need to know the easiest way to get an accessory hook up and a full-time power hook up
Cousin: i tried to use the cigarette lighter and directly to the battery, but that didn't work
ManInCamo: hmm
Cousin: i've looked at like a dozen wiring diagrams and i'm going ****ing insane!!!
Cousin: so i need an accessory power hook up and a full-time power hook up
ManInCamo: you could splice into the original power wire for the radio
Cousin: tried that
ManInCamo: that didn't work?
Cousin: nope
ManInCamo: explain again
Cousin: at first i thought my splicers were too big (small radio wires) but i peeled back some insulation and connected directly and it didn't work
Cousin: basically, i need to hook up two wires so this thing turns on when i turn my ignition on


So, any help?
