and FYI, the transfer of hp from the crank to the wheels with clutch vs torque converter is just about the same. The transfer from a torque converter looses about 3 hp per 100hp. not significant.

*edit* Also, I know of auto's with the same motor/mods that will spank a manual with an upgraded torque converter and upgraded speed shifter.
