Im not sure how having a wider power band (turbo setup) makes your car more reliable? But, as I said, I want to mod my car gadually since I can't drop $3000 right now all at once for a turbo setup. A stroke kit, hmm I dunno.... I have been reading and researching and I don't think I want a larger stroke. I've read that I want to 'square out' my bore against my stroke and that when going na, one should bore out to around 85 or 86 mm with the gsr motor, which makes it closer to the stroke(87.2 mm?). Having that said, I believe that increasing your displacement when going na with the B18C1 is better off done with boring rather than increasing stroke. That's what I think so far anyway. Please correct me if my words contain any blasphemy. Any other opinions or criticisms are more than welcome. As far as reliablity goes, to me, it seems like having a turbo setup and adding even more moving parts would decrease reliability, or atleast it would for someone who has a turbo setup that doesnt know how to correctly maintain it(me). What kind of crankshaft do you have anyway?
