You can stick the pads on devices such as phones, remote controls, watches, assorted tools, etc. Anyway, if you ever lose it, just press the number on the base station and the corresponding pad with that number will beep and it will be easier for you to find it.

They make a "remote beeper" already, not exactly like you designed it; but it's made to connect to your remote control so you can find it.
