Just remember that if the trap goes off, or catches a mouse that you need to clean the trap or the other mice will stay away from it because they can smell death like you wouldn't believe.

Usually rinsing it under warm running water should do the trick. Also remember to change the peanut butter every couple days or it will start to get nasty, especially if it is hot.

Humane traps in my opinion are BS...yeah they make you feel like your doing the right thing but if you kick them out into an empty lot or whatever they will just move on and become someone elses problem. Snap em clean and swift because mice and rats are capable of reproducing every 14 days or so and they have litters of 12 or more at a time.
