Clean it IF it's a K&N. If not, replace it with a K&N.

As for a valve adjustment, NO, I don't want to take responsibility for anyone doing this job wrong. It's not difficult to do, but the procedure is exact and specific. The FIRST thing you should do before attempting to work on your own engine is buy (at least) a HAYNES manual for about $15.



By following the step-by-step instructions listed in that manual, there is little chance you'll get it wrong, and they've already done a much better job outlining the process than I can. I wouldn't trust someone's DIY over a manual for a job like that.
