that this kid poses a threat to national security. that people who opose the policies of government are dangerous. If there was a press release describing the arrest of a suspected terrorist, you would buy it. I'm not saying the government is lying to us (at the moment), but the attitudes of many Americans could potentially facilitate the acceptance of govt action and propaganda while minimizing the urge to critically consider the facts.
